Here we celebrate the raw energy of military life, offering fresh perspectives on this traditionally perceived industry. There's more to this generic, antiquated, overly masculine nature - a vibrant, eclectic, cool-girl aesthetic, meant to make Milsos feel as exclusive as they are. I think we deserve the best, and I have big goals. Imagine...a lively "town square" on every base, and chic hotels for mil-members only. The time to start is now!
JUDY is a place where you can feel simultaneously individual and part of something bigger. It's where you can connect, support, and stay informed, but also find a really cool graphic tee, a cozy set, or even something entirely custom with a nod the the USAF - non-negotiable everyday staples. I supply art, merch, and creative resources for military spouses, significant others, supporters, or a happy civilian that wants in on that mil-culture.
I help bring out the Exclusivity of the Modern Milso (Military Significant Others) with Relatable Content, Cool Collabs, and Monthly Merch Drops so you can Celebrate Military Life without generic designs, or sacrificing individuality.
i started judy so that I could help other milsos like me
i'VE BEEN DOING THIS military spouse THING SINCE 2018
with kids & without kids
THROUGH deployments & stateside tdyS
on base & off base
WORKING & unemployed
AND IT'S BEEN...AN EXPERIENCE
CLUELESS AS TO WHAT'S ABOUT TO HAPPEN TO MY LIFE
Before Connor joined the military, we were living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was working at a nice design firm in the city, we had all our friends near us, life was good. I guess I just didn't fully comprehend what being a Mil Spouse was going to be like, but when we made the move to Laughlin AFB in Del Rio, TX, that quickly changed. However, did this necessarily have to be my reality? Sure, there are things out of my control like the location, Connor's long hours, or deployments, but I do have control over how I choose to live this experience. From that moment I decided to look at this through a different lens. Was it the best decision for me to do that? Yes completely, and I'm so glad that I did.
Not able to work in a design firm anymore...Ok, I'll start my own business. Being left alone with a 4 week old for a deployment...Cool, this will be the only time I get that's entirely my own with my newborn baby girl-how incredible is that? Moving to the middle of nowhere desert land...Hmm, it's only 1.5 hours to LA, I have a car, I can drive.
Is it easy? No. Is it for everyone? No, of course not. And does this apply to all Milsos? No, every Milso can choose to live how they want to. They don't have to like this and THAT'S OK TOO!
This is a space to laugh about the strange life we live, to complain about the ones from home that don't get it, and to be comfortable with being confused, because to be honest, Idk what the hell is going on sometimes! I hope I can bring you joy through good design and just something straight up different. Thank you for being a part of my circle.
"Judy" is a radio call signaling that aircrew has taken control of the intercept and only requires situation awareness information; controller will minimize radio transmissions.
E.g. "Darkstar, Judy, Judy. I'm going in for guns."
In other words, STFU.
"Judy" is a Milso like you and me. She thinks all mil merch is generic, outdated, and overly masculine. The BX isn't her idea of a shopping experience, and she cuts all of her existing mil gear into cropped tees. Currently she's questioning why there's nothing other than fast food offered on base?
In other words, a strong, independent Milso.
